TESTIMONIALS
Cox Rayner have been associated with Christopher Frederick Jones for the past 5 years. Our practice is interested in the exploration of experience in space through built form. Christopher is interested in the architectural idea and captures the expression and atmosphere of the spaces created around our works beautifully.
Cox Rayner are proud to be associated with Christopher Frederick Jones.

“Oh My God what great photos of my house. Yikes I can’t believe I own it! Gabriel Poole will be so thrilled. Gee that Chris can use a camera (I couldn’t for one second make photos like this – I’m not technical at all) – but Chris has such a wonderful eye for light and shadow and how it falls on timber. The sky also looks incredible as well! I like him enhancing the green grass etc
AMAZING AMAZING THANKS CHRIS”,

“Photographing Architecture well is hard. Having to capture space rather than an object, illustrating a narrative of the larger project, the energy and dynamism of particular forms or seeing tectonic detail in context requires a way of seeing and understanding with a confidence and skill in the technical craft, that few posess. Chris has it, and he makes our work able to be appreciated as well as we could expect, and often times more”.
Shane Thompson
Architect
Christopher Frederick Jones is a creative photographer who enjoys the inventive potential of difficult assignments. One thing that makes his work distinctive is his ability to capture the quality of architectural space – the void – that which is not there.
Christopher combines this art with his eye and technical skill to control and work with strong contrasts in light values to reveal pattern, and the relationships between inside and outside, space and form, light and sky, to capture the continuity inherent in the contextual experience of architecture – a very difficult task.
The spatial and contextual nature of a house I designed on Stradbroke proved elusive to a large number of excellent photographers over many years. Christopher was the first to capture its essence and open up the understanding and experience of the house for others to enjoy.
